Your Presence Matters - Let's Gather Together

Over the last seven weeks, with the new administration now in office, I have been feeling the collective fear and anger in the air about the incomprehensible chaos being purposefully created and quickly executed.

With the White House ignoring the Rule of Law, it feels a bit like the Blitzkrieg must have felt during WWII – no time to breathe between bombs being dropped.

Almost everyone is feeling some level of being knocked off balance, and having difficulty reclaiming it before the next assault hits.

Many of us are very worried and concerned - about those who are vulnerable in this very hostile climate.  All women (especially those of child-bearing age); immigrants; all people of color; trans and gay people; the disabled and impoverished who depend on Medicaid; the elderly who depend on Medicare and modest Social Security payments to live; friends and colleagues who have dedicated their lives to being the country’s backbone in the federal government suddenly having no ground to stand on in terms of their job security. And on and on.

And the lies being told about their actions are incomprehensible – one lie on top of another, on top of another. Never ending propaganda. Bully behavior at every turn, even in the Oval Office and in Congress. It is as though it is designed to horrify and paralyze decent intelligent human beings. And to a certain degree the strategy has been working.

I have been asking Spirit for weeks, what is mine to do in all of this?

How can I be of help here?

How can I be of service to humankind offering the gifts I have?

Then last week I awakened at 2am with a growing sense of dread. Not my usual for sure.

I could not get back to sleep, so I got up, checked email briefly to make sure that the world was actually not ending that night, and then made myself some ceremonial cacao and sat in the dark, experiencing velvety cool moon light streaming in the window onto my legs and feet.

As I sipped my hot cacao, I grounded myself. I grounded deep into the earth, letting my roots spread out widely, connecting to dirt, rock, water, life energy and warmth – deeper and deeper.

Then I allowed my system to soak in the rich, steady energy of the earth. Filling every nook and cranny – every cell of my body.

When I was done, I drifted off to sleep, relaxed and completely calm.

Then, this same thing happened the next night – awakening to a deep sense of dread and chaos.

Again, taking the time to ground and connect to the earth was my cure. I fell asleep again after the churning within me had all dissipated, and I had filled up, into a calm clear state.

And this morning when I awakened, I knew what was mine to do – my gifts are in helping people, often groups of people, to find their ground, come in for a landing, and center themselves again, reclaiming their power and creativity for the battle ahead.

And we sure need that right now. My online groups in the last few weeks have all remarked in some way, about how powerful and steadying it is to gather in a group at a time like this.

To slow down and tune in.

To find your center – your inner balance, so you know your optimal direction to head into – to find your Soul’s path if you will – so you know what is yours to do – day to day...

For each of us, what is ours to do may be different.

But finding the time to slow down, if only briefly – and tune into who you are at that soul level – is what I can help you with right now.

I have decided to lead a series of live Zoom grounding and filling meditation/explorations.

The sessions will be held at 8 am Eastern on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and last for approximately 15 minutes.

The goal of these short meditations is simple: to help people come back into balance and ground themselves so they can think more clearly as they continue on with their day. It's a way to give people their power back and sense of clarity and strength amid the chaos.

Some additional notes about the sessions:

  • Registration for each session is required. We decided to create a unique Zoom link for every session rather than use the same link each time to take steps to ensure our online safety. This means, you will need to register for each session you want to join in order to receive the email with the correct Zoom link. It only takes a few seconds to sign up. I understand it may be inconvenient but we felt it was the best solution to keep us all safe.

  • Donations are welcome. You will see the option to make a donation. This is to cover the administration costs of hosting these sessions three times a week.

  • A replay will be available. We understand that 8 am Eastern is not the best time for everyone so we will offer a replay for those in different time zones so you can continue to feel a part of our community. You will need to register for the event and will receive the recording approximately 24 hours after the event.

  • Stay in the loop. Want to join the live sessions but your current schedule doesn't allow you to? Scroll down to the bottom of the registration page and add your name to the interest list for the Ground & Fill meditations. You'll be tagged to receive occasional reminders about these sessions. That way you stay in the loop so you can join a live session when your schedule permits.

  • Keeping the sessions short but powerful. The goal of these sessions is to ground and fill together to nurture our strength and resolve without taking up too much of our day. The sessions will start at 8 am so it's best to enter the Zoom a minute or two early so we can start the meditation on time 🙏

  • Your feedback is welcome. There is so much to discuss during times like these. There will be no Q&A or open discussion after the Ground & Fill because we want to keep these sessions short but powerful. However, your feedback is very important to me, so if you have questions, want to share your experience, or would like a particular topic to be addressed during the live session, please email my staff at [email protected]. They will make sure I see your email 😊

  • Commune together in other ways. Our Healing From the Core community has many gifts and tools to help themselves and others during difficult times. You can commune with members here in our private Facebook group, start discussions or reach out to connect offline.

We all have gifts that can be used to help people influence and weather the changes the US is undergoing.
