The Right Neighborhood for You

Recently a friend asked me what my biggest “aha” has been since I published Reclaiming Your Body: Healing From Trauma and Awakening to Your Body’s Wisdom.

For me, it’s been witnessing how much easier it is to transform something BIG in your life when you know in which neighborhood in your body you need to hang out.

See, we each have six major wisdom areas or neighborhoods.

And they’re either empowering us to comprehend our deepest truth — or they’re holding us back.

So when you know which neighborhood represents your biggest opportunity for a breakthrough — and then you spend time there?

That alone can catapult you to a level of personal power that would be impossible to reach if you hung out in any other neighborhood.

That’s why it’s vital to know which of the six wisdom neighborhoods you need to hang out in to do your deepest healing and transformation.

Wondering which one is yours? This quick little quiz may give you a hint.

Choose the situation that feels most true for you right now:

A. You find yourself inspired in your life. But you’re unable to follow through on those inspirations.

B. You get instinctual whispers, but your mind discounts them. And that causes you to second guess your inner knowing.

C. You frequently run out of energy — and then you have to run on sheer willpower most of the time.

D. There’s a circumstance in your life, now or in the past, that’s left you feeling like you don’t have a leg to stand on. Or you simply couldn’t take a step into what was coming next.

E. You find yourself accommodating everyone else’s needs so much, you don’t even know what your own needs are anymore.

F. You overthink every issue and task in your life, no matter how big or small.

Do you have your answer?
