My Next Book is…
Last Monday, I sent off the manuscript for my next book to my editor at New World Library. This is the culmination of hundreds upon hundreds of hours of writing and editing, and having my early morning hours filled with hot tea and computer time. This book has taught me to further refine that inner focus that gets me to the finish line every time. And the book is done – woohoo!
Let me start with deepest gratitude to my steady editor & friend Chery Owens. You gave up time from building your lovely retreat center, Mountain Valley Retreat, to dedicate time for this effort. Your vision and clarity brought me back time and again. Several of the core chapters got written while I was visiting MVT in the SanDiego mountains this past summer.
Blessings on all the rest of my village (you know who you are) who read entire chapters, offered your own stories, and sent me back suggestions that I used to make this book so powerful, and engaging.
Thanks to you, my blog readers, who sent me suggestions for Body Wisdom idioms and other ideas – you helped me cross the finish line this past week.
A special shout out to my HFC Instructors, Presenters and Practitioners who – in a matter of minutes on our monthly call last Monday – helped me brainstorm the last few idioms for the pelvis and brain chapters.
I cannot express how grateful I am to my staff, Lynn Foley and Christy Allison for their steadfast, vital skilled support in delivering it all.
And, to my dear husband Carlos for tolerating it all as I snuck out of bed really early on so many mornings to harvest those clear prime hours of creative writing time.
My grateful heart is overflowing this week with all the help and support that those of you in my circles at Esalen and here as I write at Claymont are offering – the book cover, the title and subtitle – these processes have been supported by so many every step of the way.
Now, the next stage begins! The editing process with my publisher is underway and the final production takes place after that. Release should be late Spring of 2017. I am SO excited! Thank you all.
