Gratitude for My Father
Each Father’s day, I am drawn back again and again to gratitude and how it changes my experience of life. Honoring the men who are caring for children, animals and the earth today is important.
I am spending this Father’s Day teaching a large and wonderful circle of people. As I teach I can feel my Dad smiling at me. He had a gift with his voice and his presence that he passed right along to me, and I will be eternally grateful to him for that ease and excitement that I feel when I am teaching and sharing with others.
My Dad wasn’t perfect. I spent many years working those issues out. But in the end, my enduring memories are of how he supported me in bringing my gifts to the world. His smile, his counsel, and his presence will live on in my heart as the resounding memories of who he was to me. Thanks Dad!
