Evoking my Full Body Presense for AMTA’s New England Regional Conference
I am delighted to be presenting the keynote address today, Friday, March 21st, at the 2014 AMTA New England Regional Conference (NERC). I am speaking about the vital role of bodyworkers in the next decade in healthcare and asking them to really dream big in terms of the difference they see themselves making in people’s lives. I look forward to a wonderful time with them as they are all such a friendly, down to earth group.
This conference, for members of the American Massage Therapy Association, is held annually in the Boston area and offers four days for the region’s community of therapists to come together for educational workshops (worth up to 18 CE hours), an exhibit hall full massage products and services, as well as the opportunity for therapists to support each other through friendships and networking, including the annual Dinner Dance!
On Saturday morning, I’ll also be leading an educational session on “Healing From the Core: Trauma and Abuse”. This condensed workshop, approved for 3 CE hours, offers bodyworkers some clear, practical steps to take in their practices, in order to treat their traumatized clients with more effectiveness and ease.
I look forward to the wonderful hospitality that this conference always offers their participants. I loved speaking at NERC several years ago.
