Buddha’s Presence Adds to the WWPT

Today I was able (with the help of Sean and Denis – thanks guys!) to go visit the Tian Tan Buddha which is located at the end of a cable car ride into the mountains of Hong Kong in an area called Ngong Ping on Lantau Island. We climbed all the way up to the statue (My legs got a great workout from those 268 steps). Once we were at the top, the exhibit was such a wonderful reminder about the depth and breadth of the Buddha’s spiritual path and presence on the planet over 2000 years ago.

Then, a short walk away, we visited the monastery of the Po Lin monks who are responsible for initiating the building of this sacred statue and site.

Breathtakingly beautiful inside, I felt such a direct experience of peace and abundance while simply standing quietly in the back of the temple with my fellow journeyers. Waves of energy washed over me as I stood in awe of this ancient tradition of love, deep wisdom and acceptance taught by the Buddha.

While we were there, we visited the Heart Sutra – and this exquisite flower was right on the path.
An’ Marie – this one’s for you!

And, enjoy!
