Open To Hope Radio – Lori Chinitz Interview on Grief Recovery

My friend and colleague Dr. Joel Ying reminded me in his April newsletter that another friend and colleague Lori Chinitz did an interview with Drs. Gloria & Heidi Horsley on their radio show.

From Joel’s newsletter:

After healing from their own heartbreaking loss of a loved one, the mother-daughter team of Drs. Gloria and Heidi Horsley created a non-profit organization that supports a website of articles, audio, and video that share stories of hope and compassion. The forum supports healing from grief, coping with the pain, and investing in the future.

My friend Lori Chiniz was recently interviewed by their radio program. Lori describes how she facilitated gatherings and supported a community grieving the tragic loss of a young boy crossing the street holding his father’s hand. Dr. Gloria ends the interview with these touching words of the Open to Hope project: “If you’ve lost hope, lean on ours until you find your own.”

Explore the website of resources and listen the the radio interviews:   Lori’s interview, which is excellent, is at this link on March 5, 2015 – entitled Grief Support. It is not long – less than 20 minutes and a wonderful listen.”

Listen to the entire interview below. And then let me know, how do you recover when you are grieving a major loss? I would love to hear from you.

  1. As a participant of the Energy Circle discussed in the interview, I can say that this work is SO valuable in helping deal with a tragic loss. I highly recommend it for anyone suffering from loss or trauma.
