Creating Change Through Sacred Space
Have you ever been to a place where the very essence of transformation itself is rooted into every molecule of the landscape around you?
It’s life-changing to experience what gets to happen for you when you open yourself up to your greatest potential in an environment that was cultivated to enhance it.
As someone who guides others to connect with the sacred space in and around their own bodies, I am always moved by these magical places.
That’s why I was so concerned this year when my beloved Esalen Institute was forced to shut down for nearly 4 months after unusual Winter landslides blocked its roads.
This has been my spiritual sanctuary for more than 24 years. It’s also why I chose it as the backdrop for some of my most transformative classes.
Every corner of this ancient place calls to spirit — and adds new insight to the internal process of change …
The land that is rich with giant redwoods, majestic eucalyptus trees and wildflowers of every color.
The natural mineral baths built into the rocky cliffs overlooking the Pacific.
The ocean water below that’s home to visiting whales, dolphins, seals and playful otters.
The night sky bursting with stars overhead as we sing and drum by firelight.
The air that’s filled with colorful streaks of hummingbirds and visiting monarchs.
The intoxicating aroma of wild jasmine and lavender.
And the wind that gently brushes our skin as we gaze at the sunset in the evenings after an organic meal created fresh from scratch.
Every surprising corner of Esalen was designed to support change. And that adds what feels like a magical boost to every class we hold there.
How are you creating sacred space that contributes to your growth?
What kinds of places do you seek out when your spirit is ready to expand?
These are important questions to ask …
Because they lead to the answers that are most important to you.
All my best,
P.S. I’m delighted that Esalen is officially opening its doors again on July 28, 2017. Just in time to herald in a fresh new season of change.
