Homecoming

It is always interesting to notice how it feels when I first get home. I do my best to stay present and shift with all the grace and ease I can muster in that tired moment. Sometimes the judgement creeps in around family dynamics. Sometimes it is work stuff. This time the issue where I found myself in judgment was going from the cool, crisp air of Canada, to the warm muggy air of northern Virginia. I did my best to enjoy my walk this evening, but I have to say, I was missing that Canadian air. Ahhh…..I guess I’ll just get up early in the morning tomorrow and see if that helps. The next thing I can do is to count my blessings and be thankful I got home safely with no delays or mishaps. Anyone else have any fun ideas for enjoying the heat of a Washington DC area summer without living in a swimming pool?
